# Sodra sick-leave import

> Book Lithuanian sick-leave certificates from the EDAS insurer report as absences on the schedule.

Import the insurer report you download from Sodra's EDAS portal, and each sick-leave certificate in it becomes an approved absence for the person it names. Sodra offers no service Begin can read certificates from, so you upload the report yourself, as often as you need.

Beta

The Sodra import is rolling out gradually for Lithuanian workspaces. If **Sodra** is missing from
**Settings → Integrations**, ask us about enabling it. Your role must also allow managing
integrations.

## Choose the absences colleagues see

Each Sodra reason, such as **Liga** or **Ligonio slaugymas**, is booked against a time-off policy you choose. **Reasons** on **Settings → Integrations → Sodra** shows each reason and its policy; choose **Edit** to change one. You can also choose the policy while checking a report, in the row of the first certificate that needs it. Create the policy first if none is available. A reason left on **Not imported** is skipped. Colleagues see the policy on the schedule, never the reason.

## Import a report

**1. Download the report from EDAS**

In EDAS, form the insurer report (**Draudėjo ataskaita**) for the period you need and download
it as XML.

**2. Upload it**

Under **Import a report**, drop the file or choose it. Begin reads it and shows **Check the
report**: **Needs you** first, then **Will be booked**, with certificates already in Begin
folded away. Nothing is booked yet.

**3. Fix what needs you**

Each row under **Needs you** names its cause. For **No policy chosen for this reason**, choose
the policy in that row: it moves to **Will be booked**, and later reports book that reason too.
When no one in Begin has the row's personal code, add or correct it on the person's profile and
upload the report again. A row the report itself left incomplete, such as one with no personal
code or dates, needs a corrected report from EDAS.

**4. Book**

Choose **Book**, which names how many absences it books. They appear on the schedule as approved
absences covering whole days, the report joins **Imported reports**, and any rows still skipped
stay listed under **Still need you**.

Begin finds each person by the personal code on their profile, under **Identification number**. A person whose code is missing or different shows **No one in Begin has this personal code**. You need the right to book time off for each person; rows for anyone else are skipped.

A certificate over days that already hold an absence is skipped with **Overlaps an absence already booked**. Decide which absence stands, change the other one, then import again.

## Import again when a certificate is extended

Upload each new report as it comes. When a report lists a certificate already imported with a new end date, Begin updates the same absence: the row shows **New end date** under **Will be booked**. Uploading the same report twice books nothing new. An absence somebody removed from the schedule, or moved to another person, stays as they left it: the row shows **Removed from the schedule in Begin**.

> [!WARNING]
>
> **Revert** undoes only the newest import still in force. It removes the absences that import
> booked and puts the ones it updated back to their earlier dates. An absence somebody has since
> moved to another person is left as it is.

**Sodra import: access and limits**

* **Who can:** managing integrations opens the page; the default Administrator role has it. Booking each row also takes permission to create time off and to manage others' time off for that person.
* **Needs:** a workspace whose country is Lithuania, with the Sodra import enabled.
* **Limits:** one file up to 512 KB and 200 rows. A longer report is refused; form it in EDAS for a shorter period. Two people with the same personal code are both skipped.
* **Not supported:** fetching certificates from Sodra automatically, or importing a file other than the EDAS insurer report in XML. No diagnosis is read.
* **Begin AI:** with the same permission, can import a report you attach to the chat, show which policy each reason books against and the import history, change the reason mapping, and revert the newest import. Attach the EDAS `.xml` file and ask it to import the report: it tells you how many certificates it would book and which rows it would skip, then asks you to confirm. It never shows the names or personal codes in the file, and the file cannot be opened again from the chat.
* **Often confused with:** Tervisekassa, the Estonian service, which Begin checks automatically.
