# Workspace

Workspace settings apply to everyone in your current workspace. Use these guides when you set up a workspace, help someone investigate a problem, or prepare to close it.

## Check your access first

You need **Manage workspace settings** to open **Settings → Workspace settings**. Exporting and deleting also require ownership. Audit log uses its own permission and plan access.

Choose the correct workspace in the workspace switcher before changing shared settings. Your own language, calendar connections and sign-in security belong in [Account](/for-managers/account/overview).

## Manage people and billing separately

Use [Roles and permissions](/for-managers/people/roles-permissions) to grant access or transfer ownership. Use [Billing and plans](/for-managers/billing/overview) for subscriptions and payments. Changing a workspace name or company detail does not replace either process.

* Workspace administration is permission-based, not granted by a manager job title alone.
* The workspace settings route is `/settings/workspace`; the audit-log route is `/settings/audit-log`.
* A support session cannot request or download the owner’s workspace export.
* Workspace deletion closes one workspace. Account deletion affects the signed-in account across workspaces.
